CHAPTER 9 : LINES AND ANGLES‎ > ‎

NOTES

ANGLES

1. An angle is a measure of a rotation.
2. One whole turn is 360 degree.
3. A right angle is 90 degree.
4. An acute angle is less than 90 degree.
5. An obtuse angle is greater than 90 degree but less than 180 degree.
6. A reflex angle is greater than 180 degree but less than 360 degree.
7. The sum of adjacent angles on a straight lines is 180 degree.

8. Two parallel lines are two lines that do not intersect when the lines are extended.
9. Perpendicular lines are two lines that intersect one another at a right angle.

PROPERTIES OF ANGLES ASSOCIATED WITH INTERSECTING LINES.
10. Vertically opposite angles are equal.
11. If sum of two angles are 90 degree, these two angle are called complementary angles.
12. If the sum of two angles are 180 degree, these two angles are called supplementary angles.
